International Year of Biodiversity
Director Teresa Belcher is working on an 8-month part-time contract funded by the Council of Australasian Museum Directors (CAMD) to coordinate the Australian events for 2010, the International Year of Biodiversity. Based at the Western Australian Museum, and working with a like-Coordinator at the Australian Museum in Sydney. Both are responsible for encourage scientific organisations, community groups and the general public to showcase their activites in biodiversity by posting stories, photos and images on the 'biodiversity hub' website.
Med-Vet-Net Association

SC Ltd have been contracted to design the corporate image and website for the newly-formed Med-Vet-Net Association, the self-funded Association,set to become Med-Vet-Net’s most enduring legacy. It will build on the success of its predecessor by strengthening existing partnerships and forging new collaborations both within Europe and around the world.
Beta Technology

Beta Technology is a knowledge based company supporting industry, the public sector and academia to collaborate and to develop innovative projects. SC Ltd is helping Beta Technology with a social media strategy for the FP7 Nutrimenthe project and are undertaking various PR and communication tasks.
Med-Vet-Net
SC Ltd ran the Communications Unit for the EU-funded Network of Excellence, Med-Vet-Net from 2004 until it ended in December 2009. We were responsible for website content and update, production of the regular newsletter/ebulletin, organization of the Annual Scientific Meeting, training of researchers in science communication and media skills, design, layout and editing of the Annual Report, article writing for scientific and general publications, media relations and public outreach.
VLA
The Veterinary Laboratories Agency (VLA), an agency of UK government department DEFRA, is internationally recognized as a centre of excellence in veterinary research. VLA provides a wide range of applied research and consultancy, diagnosis and surveillance on farm animal diseases to the Government, livestock health industry and private sector. SC Ltd are assisting the VLA in their marketing and communications activities, including their Annual Review, website and Annual Conference.
CommNet
CommNet is a network of communications managers in EU-funded research projects about food quality and safety. SC Ltd has created the website and the CommNet brochure and assisted in organizing the CommNet exhibition stand at ESOF 2008 in Barcelona.
EPIZONE
EPIZONE is an EU Network of Excellence that aims to improve research on preparedness, prevention, detection, and control of epizootic diseases within Europe (such as foot-and-mouth disease, classical swine fever, avian influenza, bluetongue and African swine fever). SC Ltd created a sponsorship package for EPIZONE'S Annual Scientific Meeting. We will also be running a two-day science communication training course with them in October 2009.
Milton Keynes Science Festival
SC Ltd assisted in promoting the third Milton Keynes Science Festival, held between the 17 and 25 October 2009. The ten days event was packed with a series of exciting, entertaining and informative Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths events and activities held in various locations around the city involving local schools, colleges, universities, societies and businesses.
EUUS SAFEFOOD
The EUUS SAFEFOOD project ran from 2005-2008 and aimed to develop a transatlantic strategic alliance, between food-borne zoonoses research networks in the European Union and the United States. SC Ltd were responsible for the communications and dissemination activities. We designed, managed and edited the project's website and undertook event management.
